There are so many aquarium corals to choose from, it can not only be confusing, it can also be challenging.  If you are interested in a polyp, there are over 6,000 species to choose from.  Most aquarium hobbyists will be interested in either anemones or true corals.  Many online sites offer an extensive collection of corals that you can buy in singles or in bundles.  You can even have them shipped to your front door overnight.

Now if you are great at keep your aquarium corals alive, there is an ever growing alternative and that is synthetic corals.  These are made from non-toxic material which is 100% safe to all living marine life in your tank.  They are also specially designed not to scratch the glass or acrylic sides of your aquarium.  The best part about them is they actually look real in both form and movement in the water.

Synthetic aquarium corals need no special aquarium lighting and can be placed in either fresh or saltwater tanks.  You can buy them individually or you can use a base to create a beautiful coral system.  If you use live coral, you must match your fish to it accordingly.  When using synthetic coral, no fish matching is required.
