The advantages of aquarium LED lighting

 

 
When doing research on aquarium lighting, you have a number of options to choose from.  A popular choice has always been metal halide aquarium lighting but another by is starting to gain in popularity.  Aquarium LED lighting is getting more and more attention because of the features it provides.  Aquarium LED lighting offers low power usage, low heat and long bulb life.

 

Disadvantages of aquarium LED lighting is that it is still quite expensive and you require a larger number of LED’s to generate the desired amount of light.  Because LED lighting produces virtually no heat, you will able to calculate a more accurate temperature to set your aquarium heater at.  This has often challenged most people and now with non heat generating lights, has made this much easier.

 

You can now find a wide selection of aquarium LED lighting either online or at your local aquarium shop.  You may also want to inquire which aquarium heaters work best with LED lighting.  In most cases, all heaters will work well with this type of lighting but for best results, we recommend double checking to make sure.
